The vast distances and small communities in Alaska have forced Alaska Mission for Christ to use the entire body of Christ in our efforts to make a bold witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every community in Alaska.  We are committed to training and utilizing lay people to extend out mission beyond what we could do with only ordained clergy.  At least 8 AMC trained lay ministers have gone on to become ordained clergymen of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.  If you would like to learn more about Lay Ministry and how you could become involved, please contact, Todd Roeske.

Alaska Mission for Christ partners with Mission Training Center (Formerly, LAP) to train lay people for mission and ministry. Mission Training Center uses the Internet to bring top rate instructors to every part of Alaska.  Alaska Mission for Christ offers local classes and personal mentoring for those who would like to supplement the Mission Training Center program.
