Winds of the North

The Gospel is taking the world by storm. The Storm started at Pentecost and is spreading across the earth. God wants you to be involved. To find out how you can be a part of Alaska Mission for Christ blowing the winds of the Gospel across Alaska, read on.


Ways to be involved as a Winds of the North partner with Alaska Mission for Christ:

Pray
Alaska Mission for Christ is dependent on God to give us what we need for his mission. We need people who are committed to pray fervently and regularly for us and for the people of Alaska. Join us in becoming a Winds of the North Prayer Partner.

Volunteer
Alaska Mission for Christ uses both long and short term volunteers to share the love of Jesus in this vast land. We need people to run sports camps, vacation bible schools, do hammer and nail projects, form relationships, share our story in the lower 48, help train lay ministers, and many other projects. We can use volunteers both in the summer and in the winter. Please join us to become a Wind of the North Volunteer.

Give
The reality of our world is that we need money to do the ministry that the Lord is calling us to do. Our support comes from people like you who give of the gifts that God has given them to light up Alaska with His love. Of course, we are thankful for whatever the Lord leads you to give, but if we had a 1000 Wind of the North Partners that each gave $50 a month, Thrivent would match those gifts and we would be able to more than double the ministry that we are doing now. That would allow us to share the Gospel as never before.

Write
Alaska is a big state with very few people. You can encourage our missionaries and lay ministers by writing them and letting them know that you care. Please consider warming up Alaska by writing one of our missionaries or Lay Ministers.

Serve Long-Term
Alaska Mission for Christ has opportunities for people who are willing to raise their own support, move to Alaska, and serve as long term volunteer Winds of the North missionaries in remote Alaska Communities. This is not for everyone. If you think God might be calling you to this type of challenging ministry, please contact us.
