Last Wednesday evening on my way back from taking some youth group kids home, a moose stepped out in front of me.  I had no time to do anything.  My jeep caught the moose’s legs and the moose tried to climb though my windshield.  The vehicle was totalled.  The moose was totalled. (Actually, I had to get out my pistol and put the moose out of her misery.)  I, by the grace of God, walked away with only 14 stitches in my left hand.   Praise God that He takes care of us!

The moose was given to charity.  The moose is never given to the person who hit it.  The police officer that talked to me after the accident told me that if Alaskans were allowed to keep the moose they hit, they would build huge moose catching contraptions on the front of their vehicles and go “moose hunting”.

This little incident made me think.  A few years back, AMC volunteer Jeremy Fagan drove into a moose and the Lord decided to take him home.  Our lives are in God’s hands.   The Lord is not yet done with me on this earth.  My question is how can I best serve him in the time he gives me?
