Ministries of the Alaska Mission for Christ

So what are the ministries of the Alaska Ministry for Christ?

Winds of the North is a partnering ministry that involves volunteers and supporter from across the United States and even globally.  Winds of the North ministry partners join with the AMC to lift up the various ministries and staff in prayer, support the ministries financially, volunteer both long-term and short-term and lift up our missionaries through letters and emails.

Alaska Road System Ministries involves Bible camps, sports camps, hammer-n-nail servant events, and leading worship at fellowship outposts along the Alaska Road System in Central Alaska.

Southeast Alaska Ministries - Vicar Michael and Justine Borg have begun serving parts of Southeast Alaska by holding worship services and daily prayer meetings in Hoonah, Alaska.  There they also visit with shut-ins and plan community events such as Bible school and basketball camp.  Through the Borg's and congregation such as Faith Lutheran Church in Juneau, God is reaching the communities in Southeast Pan-handle of Alaska.

Southwest Alaska Ministries covers villages in the Southwest region of Alaska which is known as the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Region.  Two major rivers, the Yukon River and the Kuskokwim River, cut through this large area of Alaska dotted with villages along the rivers and sea coast.

Volunteers are the foundation behind the ministries of the Alaska Mission for Christ.  Without the hundreds of volunteers that come to Alaska each year, the ministry opportunities that happen in the many villages throughout the state would not happen.
