This summer many AMC Servant Team members will arrive in villages that have a different standard of organization and cleanliness. The team members come from homes with carpets that are vacumed, lawns that are mowed, and white painted doors. The villages are places where floors are difficult to keep clean, and yards are places for storing items that might be needed in the future. When looking at the way people live in the villages one might be tempted to a notion of self pride when we observe scenes of apparent messyness. However, we lose this temptation when we realize that we share in the same messy business of living with these village people. Despite the fresh paint on the outside, the interior of our lives too are unpainted, and littered with desires that have no real value. It is only by the grace of Jesus that that we are not overcome with the dust of dispair. Please pray that we will always tell of the love of Jesus as one messy human being to another standing on level ground.
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. Psalm 118: 14
